Mark O’Mally

Mark is a registered Australian patent attorney and holds a Bachelor of Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Canberra. With over 9 years experience in the Intellectual Property industry, Mark has particular expertise in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the mechanical, electronics, telecommunications and computing fields. Mark also specialises in design registrations, as well as providing validity and infringement opinions.

Prior to joining Adams Pluck, Mark spent over 6 years in another Australian patent firm where he provided strategic intellectual property advice to a range of high profile multi-nationals. During this time, Mark worked on a part-time secondment with a leading Australian technology company, working intimately with in-house council to manage their substantial IP portfolio. Mark has also worked as an Examiner of Patents at the Australian Patent Office which gives him a valuable insight into the Office’s practices and procedures.

Mark is also an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) NSW Section and is currently Editor of the Section’s Circuit quarterly newsletter.

In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his family, playing the guitar and socialising with friends.
